Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu Hosts Strategic APC Stakeholders Meeting in Abia State, Calls for Reconciliation and Grassroots Mobilization ~ The GrandMaster

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, on Sunday, May 4th, 2025, convened a strategic engagement with key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, aimed at fostering reconciliation, strengthening party unity, and deepening grassroots mobilization across the state.

The high-level meeting, held in Umuahia, brought together party leaders, elders, youth representatives, and local government coordinators, in what has been described as a timely and visionary move to reposition the party ahead of future political contests.

Speaking at the meeting, Rt. Hon. Kalu emphasized the urgent need for internal cohesion within the Abia APC, stressing that reconciliation is not a sign of weakness but a critical tool for building a resilient and winning political structure.

“This is not the time for division or personal ambition. It is the time to embrace reconciliation, renew our commitment to the party’s ideals, and work together to deliver a stronger APC in Abia and the entire South East,” he said.

The Deputy Speaker also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the APC must align its grassroots strategies with the national vision to achieve lasting political success.

He commended the State Chairman of the APC, Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, for his unwavering leadership and dedication to the growth and stability of the party in the state. He also expressed deep appreciation to all stakeholders who honoured the invitation and contributed meaningfully to the discourse.

“This engagement will not be a one-time meeting,” Rt. Hon. Kalu added. “We are building a culture of continuous dialogue and accountability. Victory begins with vision and teamwork, and the time to build is now.”

The meeting concluded with a collective resolution to prioritize unity, foster strategic collaboration across all party levels, and roll out an inclusive plan for strengthening APC structures in Abia and beyond.
