Awka, Anambra State – In a historic and politically symbolic event, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, was conferred with the traditional title of “Dike Simba”, meaning “Mighty Warrior from Afar”, by the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council during a grand ceremony held at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka.

The conferment, led by the respected Igwe Iweka III and other royal fathers, marks a significant moment in Southeast-Nigeria relations and a powerful gesture of cultural and political recognition from a region often perceived as distant from the centre.

This honour comes at a time when many political actors remain uncertain or disconnected from grassroots realities, yet President Tinubu has boldly stepped into the heart of Igbo land and received a hero’s welcome.
