In his remarks, Hon. Emeka Adiele commended the attendees, likening their efforts to sowing seeds that would yield a bountiful harvest. He also praised the dedication of the local party members, noting that they were instrumental in keeping the Labour Party alive during the last local government election in Abia State, having funded his own campaigns and that of the Councillors.

Hon Emeka Adiele note that he ran as a party candidate for Local Government Chairmanship position while those who claimed ownership of the party structure abandoned it and defected to ZLP, emphasizing that there is no room for such individuals in the Labour Party henceforth.

Mr. Kenneth Anyasor, a member of the Abia State Working Committee of the Labour Party, expressed his disappointment on the government of their actions, tracing their history from APGA, PDP, and APC. He described the government of the State as being disconnected from the party's grassroots, questioning how he could forget the sacrifices made for his success. Mr. Anyasor endorsed Barr. Julius Abure's leadership acumen and for standing to defend the party till this level.

Comrade Charles Samankwe urged members not to lose hope, assuring them that better days are ahead under the current leadership of Barrister Julius Abure, Hon. C.K Igara, Dr Prince Ndubueze and Hon. Austin Ehiemere respectively.

Hon. ThankGod Oyirinnaya Gad, the Labour Party's Ipu West councilorship candidate for November 2024, expressed gratitude to party members for their contributions. He humbly attributed his decision to remain with the Labour Party to divine guidance, noting that had he joined the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), he would have been among those earning a monthly stipend of ₦50,000 as an elected councilor.

Hon. ThankGod Gad highlighted a stark contrast between the two parties, alleging that in ZLP, councilors who were handpicked by party leaders are subjected to salary deductions. He implied that this practice reflects poorly on the party's leadership and values, that he is support of Abure's leadership disposition.

Labour Party's woman leader, Mrs. Ogechi Onyebuchi, reaffirmed her commitment to Barr. Julius Abure's leadership, revealing she has turned down offers from other parties. She encouraged fellow women to promote the Labour Party at the grassroots level, urging them to attract more members and strengthen the party's presence in the community.

The party faithful unanimously backed Barr. Abure's leadership style, reaffirming their support for the party's leadership both at the Nec, Swc and the LG levels.
